Ski Information

As a Country in the Rockies participant, you will receive daily basic ski and snowboard rentals at Steamboat Springs. The ski and snowboard rentals include skis or snowboards, bindings, boots and poles. Skis and snowboards are available for purchase if you would like new skis delivered at Country in the Rockies.

You will have the opportunity to upgrade your skis and snowboards to high performance skis and demos. Your Country in the Rockies package also includes daily lift tickets for 4 days of skiing.

You will have the opportunity to participate in special race clinics with Wayne Wong, voted one of the most influential skiers of all time by Ski magazine in 1999. Wayne holds the highest level of certification with the CSIA and is certified with the Canadian Ski Coaches Federation.

Each ski team is captioned by a celebrity and you will have the chance to win special prizes based upon your team placement!

During the celebrity ski race, our Country in the Rockies announcer, Tom Gross, will entertain the audience with special play-by-plays during the competition! Tom has engaged audiences at more than 750 athletic and charitable events including seven World Cup ski races and the 1991 World Cup finals.

Any level of skier is welcome to participate in the ski race. All skiers are handicapped during the qualifying ski race. The race is fun and gives everyone the chance to develop some team spirit during the Country in the Rockies event!
